Business After Hours

Mango’s Bar & Grill hosted Business After Hours for the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce on April 19. Chamber members were treated to music, food, beverages and door prizes during the two-hour networking event.

SML Business Expo

The 20th SML Business Expo took place on April 9 at EastLake Community Church. Free and open to the public, the event saw hundreds of residents and visitors engaging with local business professionals representing more than 100 companies.

Rock Outdoors Grand Opening

Sporting goods retailer Rock Outdoors held the grand opening of its Westlake store on April 20 with special deals, raffles, ice cream from Homestead Creamery, sandwiches from Chick-fil-A, face painting and more.

Portside BBQ Battle

A wide variety of tasty barbeque was enjoyed at the third Portside BBQ Battle on April 27 at Virginia Dare Marina. Eleven teams competed for top honors and patrons packed the lawn to enjoy live music by Christian Q. and The Funky Groove.
