2025 Results

We’re so excited to announce that the inaugural 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗨𝗽 raised $5,460 to fight hunger at Smith Mountain Lake!

Over two weeks in September leading up to the SML Walk to End Poverty, 13 local restaurants teamed up with SML Insiders and Lake Christian Ministries to support LCM’s food assistance programs.

Why It Matters

Hunger is rising right here in our lake community:

  • 14,178 food assistance requests were fulfilled by Lake Christian Ministries in 2024 alone.
  • Requests for help from families with children have increased 58% over the past 3 years.
  • Assistance provided to children has risen by a staggering 74%.
