SML Turkey Trot
More than 180 walkers and runners kicked off their Thanksgiving Day by taking part in the SML Turkey Trot on Nov. 28, 2024, at Smith Mountain Lake State Park. The event, which was organized by LAT Wellness and included a 5K and a kids’ 1-mile run, raised $2,400 for the park.

Business After Hours
On Jan. 16, Rock Outdoors hosted Business After Hours, where dozens of members from the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce gathered to enjoy food, beverages, door prizes and networking opportunities.
New Member Showcase
The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce held its New Member Showcase on Jan. 23 at the Bower Center for the Arts. New members, including SML Insiders, introduced their products and services to fellow chamber members, directors, ambassadors and guests, while networking and socializing.
