SML Business Expo
The 21st annual SML Business Expo took place April 8 at EastLake Community Church, drawing hundreds of residents and visitors. Free, open to the public and organized by the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, the event featured more than 100 local businesses showcasing their products and services.
Recycle Run and Family Fun Day
The inaugural Recycle Run and Family Fun Day was held April 12 at the SML Smith Mountain Lake YMCA of Franklin County, featuring vendors and activities, live music and a fun run for all ages—all in support of awareness for local recycling and sustainability efforts.
Osprey 10K Run / 5K Run-Walk
On April 26, participants took on the scenic course at the Osprey 10K Run / 5K Run-Walk, hosted by Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Proceeds benefited the park’s programs and conservation efforts.
